The North London Book Festival returns from April 23 to 26, filling Alexandra Palace with four delightful days of readings, discussions, workshops, and all things literary. This year’s lineup features distinguished authors like Alan Hollinghurst, Tessa Hadley, Natalie Haynes, and Michael Rosen, who will also be celebrating his 80th birthday with special readings and performances. You’ll also enjoy a vibrant mix of contemporary writers such as Natasha Brown, Ben Aaronovitch, and Rachel Parris, along with familiar voices like Laura Bates and Jeffrey Boakye.
The festival kicks off on April 23 with Kadiatu Kanneh-Mason sharing her inspiring book, To Be Young, Gifted and Black, accompanied by live music from Braimah and Konya Kanneh-Mason. The entire weekend offers a lovely blend of author talks, panel discussions, Q&A sessions, and some unique events that add extra flair.
It’s not just for avid readers—there’s plenty to enjoy with family, too. Kids can join creative workshops, storytelling sessions, and even dress up as historical figures with Kate Pankhurst.
